Design Community Ranks IC Manage IP Top in Design Data Management at DAC 2013
CAMPBELL, Calif., October 31, 2013 — IC Manage, Inc., a leader in global design management and IP reuse, today announced that its IP Central platform for IP reuse was selected as a top two pick by conference attendees in the DeepChip Design Automation Conference (DAC) Report, where each year, hundreds of users review the products exhibited at the EDA industry’s premier conference.
According to one designer, “[IC Manage Views] is unbelievably fast — no one else has anything close to it. When you create the workspace, IC Manage Views gives you a virtual display of everything in seconds, where normally it might take minutes to a half hour to sync a large database in another DM system.”
DeepChip.com is an online forum with approximately 36,000 subscribers. Semiconductor chip designers contribute data-intensive papers and articles of first-hand evaluations and production benchmarks of commercial EDA tools. The DeepChip DAC Report is an annual survey that started in the 1990′s, where hundreds of users review the products exhibited at the electronic design automation (EDA) industry’s premier conference.
“What caught my technical eye was IC Manage Views Workspace Accelerator that pre-populates your EDA tools and design data into your workstation,” said John Cooley, Deepchip’s moderator. “Now that’s useful DM that I could actually like. Turns out a bunch of engineers agreed with me. In fact, users have ranked IC Manage in the top five at DAC for the two out of the past three years – that’s quite an achievement.”
“We were pleased to read the positive feedback in this year’s DAC survey, said Shiv Sikand, Vice President of Engineering at IC Manage. “IC Manage is continuing to push its technology to dramatically reduce the time design teams spend managing design and verification interdependencies.”
